Kerrie Walker

My name is Kerrie Walker and I am aged 11. I was given a Bunja to review and to try out. I live in Edinburgh and got to know about Bunja through my Dad who builds electronic prototypes.

Appearance

Bunja is easy to hold in your hand or to put in your pocket as it is quite small. The letters and symbols are very clear and are easily understood as the colours contrast so the letters stand out. The layout is good as you don't push two buttons at once because they are spaced out. On the other hand, there could be a safety strap that goes around your wrist so if you drop it then it would just dangle from your wrist.

Sound

The voices used are very clear which makes it easy to listen to. The sound effects are very lifelike and it is almost as if you were there.   In the story the voices match the people as it is how you imagine they would sound.  I gave Bunja to a few Aunties, Uncles and Cousins when they came round. We found that although Bunja is very loud when you are in a quiet area, it is very hard to hear Bunja when there is a lot of background noise. Apart from this they thoroughly enjoyed playing with Bunja.

Education

In schools I think Bunja would do very well as it has a large range of difficulty which could benefit children from Primary 1, all the way into Secondary school. Occasionally, the maths lessons in school are extremely boring but if we used Bunja then it would be much more fun. Bunja would also be a quick way to revise if it had a test menu.

Overall I think that Bunja is a very good experience and learning tool. It makes learning fun, and I managed to get to level 4. I would recommend Bunja to all my friends and am glad that I was given it to try out.
